For she was so afraid of him that even the thought of him could have her running for the hills.
Little did she know that she was the only one who didn't have to be afraid of him.
My opinion:
Raine was a sweet doe-eyed weird girl, who loved to help other people. Xavier Night was a ruthless businessman known as the beast. He fell in love with her from the very first moment he saw her. He only wanted to love and protect her. A few unfortunate incidents and threats brought them together. Xavier was happy to have her with him, he had the opportunity to take care of her. Slowly she started liking him and eventually falling for him as well. Then she witnessed the dark side of him that made her run for the hills. Xavier had one opportunity to explain himself and hoped for the best.
It's such a wonderful story. It's romantic and quite funny. The storyline is very simple but interesting as well. I liked both characters: Raine was the epitome of innocence with her inexperience and a good heart. Xavier was a dark and dangerous gentleman with a mother hen side reserved only for her. My favorite scenes were the ones that he took care of her and made her blush. It's a book that every romance lover should have in their library. I will rate it with 5 stars!!! {It's definitely one of my new favorite books}
